Question:

I am afraid of getting Semi Permanent Makeup, is there a solution for this?

Answer:

Yes, it’s completely normal to feel nervous about getting semi-permanent makeup, especially if it’s your first time! I always recommend that clients start with a consultation before committing to any treatment.

A consultation gives you the chance to discuss your concerns, ask questions, and see examples of healed results. We’ll go through everything together, from the process and comfort level, to aftercare and what to expect as your skin heals. You’ll also be able to explore different pigment shades, shapes, and techniques to ensure the final look complements your features perfectly.

For clients who feel unsure, I also recommend mapping out the brows, eyeliner, or lip blush design beforehand. This allows you to see the shape drawn on your face, and even walk around with it for a day to get a feel for how it looks and how confident it makes you feel. This step often helps clients feel much more comfortable and excited about their decision.

My goal is to make sure you feel fully informed, confident, and in control throughout the entire process, because semi-permanent makeup should enhance your natural beauty and make you feel like the best version of yourself.

Does Semi-Permanent Makeup hurt?

Most clients are pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the treatment actually is. A topical numbing cream is applied before and during the procedure to minimize any discomfort. You may feel a light scratching or tickling sensation, but it’s generally very tolerable. Everyone’s pain threshold is different, but most clients describe it as mild to minimal discomfort, similar to eyebrow threading or light scratching. Your comfort is always the top priority, and I’ll check in with you throughout the entire process.

How long does Semi-Permanent Makeup last?

Semi-permanent makeup typically lasts between 1 to 3 years, depending on factors such as your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. For example, oily skin types or frequent sun exposure can cause pigment to fade a little faster. To maintain the best results, I recommend a touch-up session once your colour begins to fade, usually every 12–18 months. This helps keep your brows, eyeliner, or lips looking fresh and defined.

What is the biggest concern most women have before getting Semi-Permanent Makeup?

The most common concern I hear from women is the fear of looking “too bold” or unnatural. Many clients worry that their brows, eyeliner, or lips might end up looking harsh, dark, or not suited to their features. This is completely understandable, permanent makeup is a big decision, and you want to be sure you’ll still look like you.

During your consultation, I take time to understand your natural features, personal style, and comfort level. We’ll map out your shape and carefully select pigment shades that complement your skin tone. I even recommend that clients walk around with the mapping for a day or two before booking their treatment, so you can see how it looks and feels in your everyday life.

My goal is always to create soft, natural enhancements that blend seamlessly with your features — so you feel confident, comfortable, and completely in control of your results. Every step of the process is designed to help you feel informed and relaxed, knowing you’re in safe, professional hands.
